About

My name is Terese Thidemann Hansen. I am a danish astronomer currently working as a researcher at Stockholm University. In my research, I use a combination of chemical and dynamical analysis of metal-poor stars in the Milky Way halo, dwarf galaxies, and streams to investigate the nuclear processes which chemically enriched our Universe and the accretion of smaller systems onto the Milky Way, contributing to the build-up of our Galaxy. My favourite part of my job is the many nights I spend observing with various telescopes to gather data for my research.
